Kristin is the second child of Renshaw B. Rule and Jane Stevenson Rule. She was born on March 29, 1974 in Fairfax, VA. Kristin was raised in Fairfax and attended WT Woodson high school. She then attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA to study Communications: Public Relations.

During her summers and winter breaks, Kristin worked as a White House Intern in Hillary Clinton's Press Office and as a Public Relations assistant to Congresswoman Leslie Bryne in Annandale, VA.

In 1996, she graduated with a B.A. Kristin returned to the Washington, DC area to pursue a degree in Web Design from George Washington University.

After she received this degree she worked as a web designer/builder at PBS Online in Alexandria, VA and Discovery Channel Online in Bethesda, MD where she worked with her brother, Jeff Rule. After several years working for others, she quit and started here own business in July 2001 called Callisto Design Studio, LLC. Her company specializes in graphic and web design.

She now resides in the Washington DC area. Her hobbies include art, photography, design, dog walking, reading Peanuts comics, and hanging out with fellow VA Tech alumni.
